What should I know before booking?

• The lead booker must be aged 25 or over.

• The property is available for holidays only.

• No parties, events or unauthorised visitors are permitted.

• We do not accept hen or stag parties.

• The property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility due to the sloping site and stairs.

How many guests can stay?

Samphire House comfortably sleeps up to eight guests across four beautifully appointed super king bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom. Three bedrooms have a super king bed and the fourth has the option of a super king or twin configuration. There is also an additional small room for a travel cot.

What time can we arrive, and by what time do we have to depart?

Check-in is from 4pm on your day of arrival. Check-out is by 10am on your day of departure. We can sometimes accommodate early check-in and late check-out. Please contact 48 hours before your stay with your request.

Is there parking at the property?

Yes. There is private parking available on the driveway directly outside the property for up to 6 cars, making arrival and unloading simple and convenient.

Where is the nearest EV charging point?

The nearest EV charging point is at Poppit Sands beach car park, which is a 1-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from the house.

 

Does every bedroom have an en-suite?

Yes. All four bedrooms benefit from their own luxurious en-suite bathroom, offering privacy and comfort for every guest.

 

Is the hot tub private?

Absolutely. The outdoor hot tub is exclusively for guests staying at Samphire House and enjoys stunning views across the Teifi Estuary.

Can we walk to the beach?

Yes. Samphire House is just moments from beautiful Poppit Sands and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, making it easy to leave the car behind and enjoy beach days, coastal walks and spectacular sunsets straight from your doorstep.

Is WiFi available?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed WiFi is available throughout the property, making it easy to stay connected whether you're working remotely, streaming your favourite films or simply planning your next day exploring the coast.

Can I work remotely from Samphire House?

Absolutely. With high-speed WiFi, generous living spaces and peaceful estuary views, Samphire House is equally suited to combining work and relaxation. The quiet landing seating area also provides a lovely spot to catch up on emails or simply enjoy a little time to yourself.

Is there a BBQ?

Yes. Samphire House has an outdoor BBQ, perfect for relaxed al fresco dining while taking in the estuary views. Guests are asked to bring their own charcoal and to clean the BBQ after use so it's ready for the next guests.

 

What happens if I damage something during my stay?

A £500 refundable damages deposit will be charged with your final balance payment 6 weeks before the start of your stay. If you damage something during your stay, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can agree the charge before you leave. We understand things happen, and will work with you on a resolution. Refundable damages deposits are returned within 7 working days after you depart, subject to the property being checked and that there are no issues.​

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes. The bespoke handcrafted kitchen has been thoughtfully designed for both entertaining and relaxed family living. It is fully equipped with premium appliances, quality cookware and everything you need to prepare anything from leisurely breakfasts to celebratory dinners. Appliances include a double oven, microwave, air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine and an instant boiling water tap.

Are towels and toiletries provided?

Yes. Luxury bed linen, bath towels, beach towels, cosy robes, slippers and Welsh-made Goodwash toiletries are all included as part of your stay. There is also a hairdryer provided in each bedroom. You'll also find a few thoughtful extras including earplugs, eye masks and emergency sanitary essentials, helping ensure every guest feels comfortable throughout their stay.

 

Is Samphire House suitable for families?

Very much so. The spacious layout makes it ideal for families, and a small room can accommodate a travel cot for those travelling with young children. A travel cot is provided - please bring your own cot bedding. There are stairgates, a baby bath and highchair available for use during your stay. The outside spaces off the decking and around the entrances are gently sloping, so we recommend keeping an eye on little people who have just found their feet.

Is the property suitable for groups of couples?

Yes. With four spacious super king bedrooms, each with a private en-suite, Samphire House is perfectly suited to couples holidaying together with plenty of room for your own space and privacy. No stag or hen parties.

Is Samphire House suitable for guests with restricted mobility?

There are two sets of stairs at Samphire House, with the main living space accessed by the first set, so the house may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

What is there to do nearby?

Samphire House is perfectly positioned for exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Guests can enjoy walks along the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path, spend days on Poppit Sands, discover the market town of Cardigan, visit local galleries and independent shops, enjoy boat trips and wildlife watching, or simply relax and take in the ever-changing estuary views from the comfort of the house.

Is the property available all year round?

Yes. Samphire House is a wonderful destination throughout every season, whether you're enjoying summer days on the beach, autumn coastal walks, cosy winter evenings, or springtime exploring the spectacular Pembrokeshire coastline.
 

Is Samphire House dog-friendly?​

Yes. Up to two well-behaved small hypoallergenic dogs at no additional charge are welcome. To help us ensure Samphire House is the right fit for everyone, we simply ask that you contact us before booking to confirm your dog's breed.

Is the outdoor area enclosed?​​

The outdoor area is not fully enclosed. We recommend keeping an eye on little people who have just found their feet.
